ALESHA DAWN BARNETT

Alesha Dawn Barnett, age 43, passed away March 12, 2024 in Hutch, Kentucky.

She was born on December 16, 1980 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and is the daughter of Ben and Teresa Barnett.

Alesha was known for her strength and fortitude; she had a loving, giving personality and all who met her were the better for knowing her.  She enjoyed walks in the woods with her children; taking in all that nature had to offer.  Her family was her life and more than anything she loved spending time with them; especially taking trips and going on adventures with them.  Her world was wherever her babies were. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Arville and Nellie Barnett, and Michael Olear, and father-in-law Lonnie Shoffner.

Left to cherish her memory, her parents Ben and Teresa Barnett, fiancé Clint Shoffner, son Cooper Shoffner, daughter Kaylee Shoffner, brother Ben (Tasha) Barnett, grandmother Berta Olear, special mother-in-law Verita Short, sister-in-law Jessica Cupp, special uncle Gary Allen, special niece Emily Barnett, nieces and nephews Lily Barnett, Cheyenne Barnett, Clayton Barnett, Colson Barnett, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to thank Verita Short and Jessica Cupp for the love and wonderful care that they gave to our Alesha during her illness.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Gibbons officiating.

Interment will follow in the Good Cemetery in Hutch, Kentucky.
