Austin Bailey Lankford (Duck), age 18, passed away on September 29, 2021.
He was born September 7, 2003 to Candace Davis and Houston Lankford.
Austin was a very outgoing, fun, loving young man who loved hunting, fishing, riding and working on anything with a motor. He also loved getting to spend time with his family and hanging out with his friends. Anyone who knew Austin loved him. He loved everybody and never failed to tell his family and friends just how much he loved them. Austin will be missed dearly and will never be forgotten.
Austin was a hero in his short life to his family and friends and would do anything to help them. Now in his passing, Austin is helping others by giving the gift of life. Through his selfless sacrifice, five strangers, including a 17 year old young lady will receive his organs. That is the definition of a true hero.
He was preceded in death by his birth father Houston Lankford, grandfathers Eddie R. Vance and Jim Edd Hatfield and grandmother Donna Mills.
Left to cherish his memory, loving mother and father Candace and Joey Davis, sisters Kendra Lankford and Melissa Lankford, brother Houston Lankford Jr., grandmothers Gwen Vance and Kathy Davis, special uncle Eddie Vance, as well as many other relatives and friends who will all miss Austin and forever remember him.
