AUSTIN DOUGLAS REDMON, JR

Austin Douglas Redmon, Jr was born in Middlesboro, Ky. February 7, 1973 to Doug and Linda Asher Redmon. 

 Austin was preceded in death by his father Austin Douglas Redmon, Sr and sister, Shenna Redmon Sutton.  

A simple obituary cannot contain a summary of what Austin leaves behind, his wife and friend of 22 years, Lisa Redmon, his children, Julia Redmon, Asher Redmon, John and Regina Belcher, and Hannah Belcher; and mother Linda Redmon.  He leaves "the cousins", countless friends and congregations of Cherish Church family, the organization, Crossing the Gap and so much more.

Austin elevated everyone he met and truly loved people.  If you needed to talk all night, he was there.  His smile read joy, his motto "Living the Dream" was on the mantle of his fireplace and always on his lips.  He lived more life in the years he had and made his family promise him that they would do the same.  

He believed that if you were still living your work wasn't done.  He had a cliche for ever situation.  His latest that we will never forget, "You just can't threaten a Christian with heaven".  Austin was the oak, the constant, our leader.   

Celebrate a life well lived with us, Friday, June 21st from 6 pm to 9pm at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Saturday, June 22nd, services will begin at 12 noon at Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Timothy Goins officiating.

Entombment will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Asher Redmon, John Belcher, Bobby Metts, Charles Austin Jackson, Wayne Grubbs, Brian Napier, Charlie Jackson, Robert Caldwell, Mark Hoskins, and Vern Taylor.
