BERT MARCUM

Bert Marcum Sr., age 81, of Pineville, KY passed away Monday, August 18, 2025.

He was born at Smith, KY on May 15, 1944, a son of the late RH and Oma Marcum.

In addition to his parents Bert was preceded in death by his brother RH Marcum Jr., sisters Juanita Napier, Ella Wilson, Martha Pettit, Betty Ann Marcum, special friend Charles Boatright, brothers-in-law Bob Crawford, Buddy Hensley, John P. Napier and Hershel Wilson, sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Marcum and Myra Marcum, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Otis and Gladys Daniels Hensley.

Bert is survived by his wife of 59 years Phyllis Marcum, sons Bert Jr. and Melissa, Greg and Susan, Jordan and Whitley, grandchildren Cody and Chelsea Marcum, Heather and Brandon Williams, Hunter and Brooke Marcum, Jonathan Marcum, Breanna and Chance Howard, Ceanna Marcum, JJ Marcum, great-grandchildren Owen Williams, Samuel Marcum, Myles Marcum, twin sister Alberta and Junior Carpenter, brothers Phillip Marcum, Fielding and Beverly Marcum, Ray and Darnell Marcum, Leon Marcum, sister-in-law Barbara Crawford, brothers-in-law Van Hensley and Don Pettit, special friend Carroll Gibbons and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, at the Blackmont Baptist Church in Hulen, KY from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at the Blackmont Baptist Church with Rev. David Howard, Rev. Terrell Gibson and Rev. David Gibbons officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hensley Cemetery at Smith, KY.  Pallbearers will be Cody Marcum, Jonathan Marcum, Hunter Marcum, Ervin Pettit, Wyatt Pettit and Josh Pettit.
