Blaine Ray Boatright, age 71 of Middlesboro KY passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2025 with his loving son by his side.
Blaine was born August 31st 1954 in Big Stone Gap VA the son of Pat and Margaret Boatright.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years Shirley Boatright. Two sisters Emma and Judy Boatright and two brothers Johnny and Larry Boatright.
Blaine was a chaplain in his early years in Big Stone Gap VA. Later on in his life he worked as a Bell County Deputy Sheriff in 1970. Blaine loved anything outdoors but there was nothing like him and his son sitting on a creek bank together fishing. You never saw Blaine without a smile on his face or always cracking a joke and what he loved most of all a chew of tobacco.
Left to cherish his precious memory is his son Daniel Boatright of Middlesboro, KY. Brothers Tim Boatright, David Boatright, and Ralf Boatright all from Big Stone Gap VA.
Special friends Chrystal Hembree, Bronwyn Suffridge or as Blaine called her Brandi, Kathy Brock and Travis Owen’s who all will miss him dearly.
The family of Blaine Boatright will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home .
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Couch presiding. Music provided by Michael and Tonya Bowling.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
