Bobby Ray Sprinkles, age 72, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2025.
He was born March 3, 1953 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Joe and Johnnie Sprinkles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Louise Hubbard, Bernice Howard, Kenneth Sprinkles, William Sprinkles and Jerry Sprinkles.
Bobby loved the Lord with all his heart and enjoyed going to church at Hensley’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful member. Before his retirement, he had a long-time career as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed simply being on the road and sightseeing. Bobby also had a love for people – he never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He was also an avid “Big Blue” Kentucky Wildcats fan. A true family man, Bobby enjoyed spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan, never missing a sporting event or anything that they were involved in – he would always be there cheering them on. Bobby’s love for the Lord, his church and his family will forever be remembered and felt for years to come.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife Kathy Sprinkles, children David Sprinkles (Charlotte), Rachel Barton (Stephen), and Lee Ann Carnes (Michael Goodin), grandchildren Scott Sprinkles, Blake Stoner, Bryson Stoner and Olivia Goodin, siblings Barbara Laws and Maedean Sprinkles, as well as many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to name but all who will miss him so dearly.
The family of Bobby Sprinkles will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutton and Wayne Mills officiating. Music will be provided by Chelsea Thacker, Rev. Mike Sutton and the Hensley’s Chapel Choir.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the staff of Tri State Nursing and Rehabilitation and Middlesboro A.R.H. for their loving and exceptional care of Bobby.
Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Sprinkles family.
