BRIAN OSBORNE Obituary

Brian Kenneth Osborne passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at his home in Madisonville, TN on September 11th, 2025.

Brian was born in Dayton, Ohio on 12/22/1968 to the late James and Shirley Osborne (Holiday). Brian was the youngest of four children, and while they traveled extensively when he was young, he lived most of his life in Maryville and Madisonville, TN, graduating from William Blount High School in 1986. He loved tinkering on cars, fixing equipment and building things. These passions led to a 25-year career at Anderson Lumber Company of Maryville, TN, and the past eleven years at JTEKT Automotive of Vonore, TN, a subsidiary of JTEKT North America Corporation where he built steering/driveline components for the automotive industry. In all these roles he demonstrated a solid work ethic, and he gave 100% until he couldn’t any longer. The family is incredibly grateful to the staff and employees at JTEKT Automotive for your enduring patience and support of Brian over this past year; it was evident to all of us that you believed in him, and your support brought him peace of mind.

Brian is survived by his four children, Emily Osborne, Erin Yates (Spencer), Austin Cooper (Blazia ) and Jemma Lytle, his three grandchildren, Connor, Coen and Rhiannon, and his significant other, Wanda Graham. They were each the love of his life, and though he may have fallen short or stumbled at times, and distance often kept them apart, he always found his footing, and he always loved them. Brian was a dedicated friend to all who knew him over the years, and it was heart-wrenching to watch the effect that chronic, severe and debilitating pain had on his body and his mind. Brian did not fail the ones he loved, but the healthcare system certainly failed him and as a result his is gone too soon. Though his life was short, he certainly left a legacy in the time that he had on this earth. While we weep, we rejoice that he is no longer in pain. In addition to Wanda, Emily, Erin, Austin, Jemma and his three grandchildren, Brian leaves behind his brother Chris Osborne, sister Jackie Osborne Osterhaus and half-sister, Wendy McFarland of Massachusetts. In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his step-mom Mildred Tate Osborne, his sister Tina Osborne Millette, and step-brother Winston Tate.
