CARTER HOWARD JR.

Carter Howard, Jr., age 79, of Rose Hill, Virginia passed away July 23, 2026 at LaFollette Medical Center in LaFollette, Tennessee.

He was born on January 21, 1947 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Carter Howard, Sr. and Lucille Lee Howard.

He is also preceded in death by his brother, Marion Howard.

Carter was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he willingly served his country.

He leaves behind his daughters, Regina Ledington and Breanna Wilder (Keisha), his sister, Irene Allman, and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family of Carter Howard Jr. will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

A processional to Green Hills Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the visitation hour for Graveside Services. Full military honors will be observed and provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
