Wilma Charlene (Dee) Rucker, age 81, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed from this earth on Saturday, May 24, 2025 and has met her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Born March 29, 1944 to John D. Rucker and Ola Mae Harrell Rucker in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She was always a light that shined in the world and was just as hard working. She retired from Walmart after 30+ years.
Known as Charlene to some and Dee to others, she was full of spunk and love for those who loved her. She was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church, an avid crafter, seamstress, and loved to attend any sporting event to cheer for her “kids”.
Her last years have been at Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab where her family has grown to include everyone there. To only scratch the surface, she enjoyed her trips with Debbie, crafting and games with Kaylee and Diane, giving Teddy a hard time, loving on Hope, being a spit fire with Kirsten, and loved following her favorite nurse, Jane, around and giving her a hard time. Thank you again for your love and care; Charlene truly loved every single one of you at the Nursing Home and enjoyed making memories with each of you.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Cleo (Luther) Robbins, Opal (Arnold) Madon, Leland Chester (Evelyn) Rucker, Frances (Tom) Miller, Bill (Billie Jean) Rucker, Alice Faye Heath and Alva Sonny Rucker, nieces, nephews, and best friend, Cookie Money.
Charlene leaves behind many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Charles (Casper) Heath; Sister-in-love, Helen Faye Brooks, best friend, Sharon Tuminski and her precious roommate, Della Whitehead.
The family of Charlene Rucker will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III presiding. Music will be provided by Mrs. Thomasa Risner and Mrs. Tami Welch.
Graveside Services will immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with Mr. Garry Bingham.
