CHARLES EDWARD TURNER

Charles Edward “Ed” Turner, age 75, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away April 13, 2026 while staying at the home of his daughter in Caryville, Tennessee.

Ed was born on November 18, 1950 in Meldrum, Kentucky and was the son of Clyde and Barbara Owens Turner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Turner and David Turner, and his sisters, Martha Turner and Sally Turner.

Ed retired from the Campbell Soup Company, where he had worked for 35 years.  He served his country for 5 years in the U.S. Coast and was a member and supporter of AMVETS.  Ed was an avid fisherman, and he always looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada.  He enjoyed the great outdoors and took great pleasure in camping.  He was an enthusiastic gun collector.   

Left to cherish his memory, his children, John Turner and Leigh (David) Hicks, brother, Jack Turner, sister, Kim (Whitney) Davis, his grandchild, Owen Turner, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family of Charles Edward “Ed” Turner will receive friends at Green Hills Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Graveside services will be private.
