Charles P. Heath (C.P. or Casper) went to Glory and was reunited with his precious wife, Alice, on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Born, April 16, 1936, to the late Thomas and Emoline (Eldridge) Heath. As a young man, Casper began working to help support his mother and siblings by delivering news papers and helping Wilbur Creswell, Sr. on his farm. Casper valued his time and lessons learned from his mentor, “Pop”, that Casper would honor him by being called Pop to his own four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Casper served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 as a firefighter, drove trucks, owned and operated Middlesboro Coin Laundry and held many titles at Walmart, of Middlesboro, his favorite of all. He knew no stranger, as many can attest.
Casper married his help mate, Alice Faye, on December 6, 1958 at the First United Methodist Church of Middlesboro, and both served the now, Covenant United Methodist with gladness and a right spirit. Casper was a part of the Methodist Men’s Group and truly enjoyed serving everyone during their pancake dinners. Covenant and its members were a second family.
In addition to his parents, Thomas and Emoline Heath and his love, Alice, Casper is preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Hazel Dixon, Opal Price, Beulah Giles, James (Jim) Heath, Melvin Heath, Naomi Gibson; daughter, Teresa Howard; and, grandson, Charles Mikel Howard; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
Left to share memories here on earth are his son, Tony (Carol) Heath; Brother: Jay (Phyllis) Heath; Son-in-law, Thomas Howard; Grandchildren: Melissa H. Zimmerman, Jenny (Dan) Cheatham, Ben (Natalie) Heath; Great-grandchildren: Emoline Evans, Chloe (Brady) Dunn, Sarah Cheatham, Corban Heath, Abigail Zimmerman, Turner Heath, Elise Heath, Alden Heath; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff of LaFollette Court for caring for our Pop. Your kindness and dedication has not gone unnoticed.
