CHARLES ROGER MASSENGILL

Charles Roger Massengill, age 67, of Ewing, Va., was born November 26, 1956, in Middlesboro, Ky., and passed away at his home in Ewing, Va., on October 19, 2024.

The son of the late Joe D. and Ada Massengill, Roger was a retired truck driver of 30 plus years and enjoyed going to church, playing music, and spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He was saved at a young age and joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, and was currently a member of Gibson Station Missionary Baptist Church in Ewing, Va.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death, by his half-brother Larry Ramsey.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Massengill of Ewing, Va., brother Tony (Brenda) Massengill of Flat Rock, Michigan, sons, Derek (Alisha) Massengill of Harrogate, TN., and Matthew (Gerena) Massengill of Mooresburg, TN., grandkids: Deklin, Cayden, Abby, Brynlee Sage, Raegan, and Jocelyn Massengill, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family of Charles Roger Massengill will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Green Hills Funeral Home in Middlesboro, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Preston Smith, Rev. Paul Clonce and Rev. Andrew Ayers presiding. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Adam Barnes.

Masonic Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Processional and Graveside services will immediately follow at Burchett Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.

Pallbearers will be Derek Massengill, Matthew Massengill, Lucas Sparks, Jason Kishpaugh, Jimmy Cheek, and Jimmy Ramsey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Big Spring Union Lodge No. 581.
