CLAUDE M BARNETT

Claude McKinley Barnett, age 82, a resident of Middlesboro, KY passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Middlesboro ARH.

He was born May 16, 1939 in Middlesboro, KY.  Claude believed in the Holiness Faith and was a member of the Church of the First Born.  He worked for 34 years at J.R. Hoe and Sons of Middlesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents Abraham Lincoln Barnett and Louisa Elizabeth Roberts Barnett, 2 Sisters Lillian Owenby and Sarah Niece, 2 Brothers Otis Barnett and Russell Barnett, Half Brother Lee Stewart and Half Sister Carrie Stewart Stephenson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Ruby Archer Barnett, Son James and Marie Barnett, Daughter Elizabeth and Roger Wilder, Grandchildren Sidney Barnett, Christopher and Elizabeth Nash, and Avaya Givens, Great-Grandson Gabriel Nash, Brother Rev. Robert Barnett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family of Claude Barnett will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Braden and Rev. Herschel Belcher officiating.  Music will be provided by Church of the Firstborn singers.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY. Family and friends will meet at Green Hills Funeral Home to follow in Procession at 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Roger Wilder, Christopher Nash, Freddie Jones, Mitchell Mayes and Matt Partin.
