CLINT POWERS

Clint Powers, age 72, of Frakes, Kentucky, born December 22, 1952, entered into his Heavenly home Saturday, January 18, 2025 after battling different illnesses at once.

He was a member of Salem #2 Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Wille (Dixon) Powers, and sister Beulah Napier.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 ½ years, Joyce Ann (Maiden) Powers, children Tabitha Powers and Luke Powers, brothers Glen (Joyce) Powers, Ted (Pam) Powers, Lonnie (Loraine) Powers and Luster (Carole) Powers, sisters Freddie Joyce (Tom) Hensley, Maxine (Leo) Fyfe, Trula (Chris) Purdue, Susie Powers, Pauline Powers and Faye Powers (Greg) Huffman, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends Wally Powers, Harold Maiden and father-in-law Lee Maiden.

Clint worked for the Bell County Board of Education for 31 years; he always enjoyed making friends with the school children. Clint was also a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp.

He loved singing and playing guitar, as well as lifting weights. Clint enjoyed raising a beautiful garden and tending to his chickens. He also loved front porch sittin’ while widdling late in the evenings.

Clint was proud of and cherished his old 1952 Ferguson tractor that Harold Maiden gave him. Most importantly though, Clint loved the Lord Jesus with his whole heart and sharing the Gospel with other people.

At his request, Clint will be buried in his favorite spot, his homeplace, at 18911 Highway 190, Frakes, Kentucky. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025. He requested that his cousin Joyce Ann (Powers) Maiden sing for him one last time, and Rev. Ken Kishpaugh and friends to speak over him.
