Connie Brock, age 84, of Flat Lick, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ethel “Sissy” Borck; his daughters Glenna Roof (Joseph) of DeLand, FL and Flora Gambrel of Flat Lick, KY; five grandchildren Kelsey Cochran (Daniel) of Richmond Hill, GA, Brian Roof (Veronica) of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Roof of Austin, TX, Kallee Gambrel of Lexington, KY, and Timothy Gambrel or Barbourville, KY; five great-grandchildren Abby Cochran, Noah Cochran, Ellie Roof, Wyatt Roof and Harrison Roof.
Connie was born December 18, 1940, in Beverly, Kentucky. He married Ethel Brock on June 17, 1963. They lived, worked and raised their family at the Red Bird Mission. After retiring from the “Mission”, Connie and his wife moved to Flat Lick, Kentucky. Connie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors.
Connie’s love of God and family was the driving force of how he lived his life and all he did. All who knew him loved and respected him. His legacy will live on through his family and those who knew him.
A private service celebrating his life was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
