Courtney Nicole Gibson, age 30, a resident of Stoney Fork, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2025. She was born October 7, 1994 in Pineville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Brenda Baker and Anna Cooper.
Courtney was a beautiful soul; a bright light that lit up every room she entered. A sunflower loving gypsy, the sky was the limit for Courtney and her life. She never met a stranger, loved fiercely and was equally loved back beyond measure. Courtney’s love for others continues on through her selfless act of being an organ donor, gifting three people with life.
One of her greatest achievements was her “Mom era”- becoming a wonderful mother to her world, her baby girl, Emma Hope. Shining bright like a sunflower - Courtney’s light, love, magnetic energy and gift of life will forever be remembered, continuing to blossom through her daughter.
Left to cherish her memory, her mother and father Valerie and Wesley Cooper, biological father Shawn Gibson, the father of her daughter, Dakota Pedigo, her daughter who was her world, Emma Hope Pedigo, brothers Casey Cox, Jacob Spurlock, John Wesley Cooper and Logan Cooper, sisters Paige Gibson and Lauren Spurlock, grandparents R.K. Hoskins, Lorene Blevins (Terry Garrison), Glen Cooper (Jan) and Henry Gibson, special friends Bri Stanley, Amber Brindley and Shasta Walters, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
The family of Courtney Gibson will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Jackson and Rev. Robert Napier presiding.
