DARREL "DUKE" STEPHEN PARRISH

Darrel Stephen Parish, 82, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on June 28, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Darrel was born in Marion, Ohio, to George and Georgia Parish (Miller) on January 10, 1942.

He was a proud coal miner and loved to share his stories of that time in his life whenever he got the chance. Darrel loved his country and honorably served in the United States Navy. He was a true patriot through and through. He was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Darrel is survived by his spouse, Calista Parish, his children, Teddy Parish, Perry Simpson, Ronnie Parish, Jackie Parish, and Tammie Parish, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Georgia Parish, one sister, Debbie Parish, and two wives, Judith Haley and Evelyn Parish.

A memorial graveside services will be held on April 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrogate Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee with Dr. William Boyd Bingham officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
