DAVID WAYNE RECKNER

David Wayne Reckner, age 63, of Sweetwater, Tennessee passed away August 3, 2024 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his mother Silvia Cosby, and her husband Claude Cosby, his wife Teresa Reckner, and his sister Susan Cosby.

David, an avid animal lover, had a big heart and loved to dote on and spend time with his dogs.  He always enjoyed working and was a very hard worker.  He had worked as a meat cutter for over twenty years.  He was loved by anyone that met him and he loved all the people that he met.

Left to mourn his passing, his son Corey (Ashland) McCravey, daughter Heather (Tyler) Bain, special friend Kenny Harris, and a host of aunt, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. at Burchett Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Burchett Cemetery with Rev. Leo Surber officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
