DEALIS "DEBUCK" COMBS

Dealis “Debuck” Combs, age 94, a resident of Tri State Health and Rehabilitation Facility, formerly of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away February 17, 2025, at the Middlesboro A.R.H. Hospital.

He was born on February 9, 1931, in Hazard, Kentucky to parents, James and Ellie Jane Lewis Combs who precede him in death.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Sayers Combs, son Tony Combs, brothers Junior Combs and Jackie Combs, and sisters Mable Hamilton and Lucy Sweet.

Like many men of his generation and upbringing, Debuck earned his livelihood in the coal mines of Eastern and Southeastern Kentucky working as an underground coal miner in the deep coal mines for the Consol Coal Company. Debuck was a member of U.M.W.A. #1569.  He was a sweet and caring gentle man.  His family was his first priority, and he always saw to their needs before his own.

Debuck leaves behind three nieces, Linda Swartz, Beverly Manson, and Rhonda Edwards, special friends John and Barbara Brock, his wonderful friends and family in Hazard, Kentucky,  as well as a host of other family members, former coal mining buddies, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Kersey officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Sams and Elliott Cemetery on Sams Mountain in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
