Dillard Barton, Jr, age 79, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Asheville, North Carolina.
He was born and raised in a wonderful Christian home in Bell County, Kentucky, to Dillard Barton, Sr and Carrie Jackson Barton who precede him in death.

Dillard was a proud veteran, having selflessly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid history buff and could tell of many battles of valor fought by heroic soldiers of this great country. Dillard worked for over 30 years at different funeral homes, serving the tri-state area, where he made many friends throughout the region. Dillard was saved at a young age and was of the Baptist faith.
Dillard will be terribly missed by his loving wife, Jackie Barton, children Criss Ann Maness and husband Ronnie of Rutledge, Tennessee, Steve Capps and wife Christy of Harrogate, Tennessee, Jenny Gentry and husband Brian, daughter-in-law Lahonia Barton of Middlesboro, Kentucky, grandchildren Landy Maness Kitts and husband Parker, Kinsey R Barton, Anna Maness, Baileigh Capps, Addison Capps, great-grandchildren Ella Rae Davis, David James Maness, brother Tommy Barton of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, and other relatives, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
