EMERY FRAZIER MINTON SR

Emery Frazier Minton Sr., age 80, passed away on March 19, 2022 at the LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee. He was born September 1, 1941 to the late Robert and Reba Minton. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a regular attendee at the services at Riverbend Campground.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Tuttle Minton, Sister Nadine Minton Tuttle, and Half-brothers Archie and Ordra Minton.

He is survived by his children Reba Joyce Minton Schlemmer, Emery Frazier (Beth) Minton Jr., Daughter of the heart, Stephanie Patterson (Brandon) Brown, Grandchildren Jonathan (Christine) Schlemmer, Laura (Reggie) Hounshell,  “Trae” Emery Frazier (Abigail) Minton III, Great-Grandchildren Robert David Schlemmer, Madeleine Schlemmer, Adalyn Hounshell, Brooklyn Hounshell, and Emersyn Minton, Grandchildren of the heart Claire, Baylor, and Campbell Brown, Brother Dewey (Regina) Minton, Half-Brothers Robert (Trish) Minton and Kelly (Renee) Minton, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, and especially his friends at Riverbend Campground where he was affectionately known as “The Mayor”.

Graveside Services for Emery Frazier Minton Sr. will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Shoffner Cemetery, Harrogate, Tennessee with Rev. Alan McCarter presiding. Music will be provided by Hannah Day. The family would like to invite all that attend to bring their own camping chair in honor of Emery’s love for camping.

Full Military Honors will be presented by the Jellico Honor Guard.
