Floyd Henry Partin, 76, of Frakes, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his home. Floyd was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on March 21, 1948.
Floyd worked for over 30 years running a drill and operating heavy machinery in the coal/strip mining industry. He was a simple man who loved and cared for his family. Not to mention having a love for cars, snuff and Jesus. He attended and often preached at Beach Grove Baptist Church. Those that knew him, whether close friends or family, called him Henny. He never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help others. If you didn’t know Jesus when you met him, he made sure to introduce you to him. He loved to tell stories from his childhood and talk about the Bible. Henny developed cancer in the later stages of life and although he may have had this life ending disease, his faith in Jesus and love for his family gave him the strength to fight it for the last 12 years of his life.
Henny is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Mary Partin; along with siblings: Willie Partin, Tilmon Partin, Lillian Overton, and grandson, DJ Lambdin.
He left behind is his beautiful and loving wife, of 60 years, Barbara Ann Partin. His children: Patricia Powers, Keith Partin and Pamela Partin. His grandchildren: Carla Hurst; spouse (Justin Hurst), Matthew and Elliott Hubbard. As blessed as Henny was, he also had three great grandchildren: Caleb Hurst, Austin Hurst and Haley Hurst. He is also leaving behind a slew of close friends and family members.
Henny’s spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will forever be remembered for being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. The joy he brought into the lives of those around him will forever be in our hearts.
All services for Floyd Henry Partin will be private.
