HARVEY ROBBINS Obituary

Harvey Lee Robbins, “Biddie,” age 89, of Middlesboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Middlesboro Nursing Home in Middlesboro. One of eleven children, he was born at Colmar on November 12, 1936, to Chester and Margaret Robbins, who preceded him in death.

Also known by his CB handle, “Uncle Fud”, Harvey worked for Mountain Drive Coal Company for 25 years, where he took pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator. Outside of work, he enjoyed bank fishing for walleye along the Powell River, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats with his family, and relaxing outdoors with a good cigar. He was also a talented musician who used both his voice and guitar to praise the Lord, having taught himself to play as a teenager and continuing for more than seven decades. For many years, he sang with the gospel group, The Traveler’s Quartet, alongside his wife Janet.

In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Janet Robbins; four brothers; and six sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Linda (Jerry) Lawson, Anthony (Zelda) Robbins, and Andrea (Arnold) England; his grandchildren: Lauren (Brennan) O’Quinn, Bryan (Robyn) Robbins, and Krystin (Anthony) Wilson; and his great-grandchildren: Rylan O’Quinn, Skylar O’Quinn, Aubree England, Savannah Howerton, and Sadie Howerton.

He also leaves behind a special nephew, Elwood Robbins and special niece, Brenda Allen. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A special thanks to Dr. C. A. Moore for providing medical care the past 35 years.
