Helen Pittman Miracle, age 84, of Miracle, Kentucky went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Insul, Kentucky on January 21, 1940, to the late Austin and Glessie Wilder Pittman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Harding Miracle, her loving husband of 47 years, brothers Lester Pittman and Cecil Pittman, and sister Clara Lee and Hazel Howard.
Anyone who knew Helen knew that she was a quiet, humble wife and mother. She loved her family with everything she had. She was most at home in her kitchen, cooking for her family and neighbors, and was famous for her yummy chicken and dumplings. Helen possessed a beautiful, kind, and humble soul. She always had a smile on her sweet face and an encouraging word on her tongue. She loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart and was a faithful member of the First Blackmont Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her daughter, Sharon Miracle, her son, David Miracle and his wife, Patricia, grandchildren Morgan and Brent Johnson, Bradley Miracle, great-grandchildren Alieah Miracle, Brody Johnson, special cousin and childhood friend Rose Ann Roark, special caregivers (thank you so much!) Martin and Phyllis Miracle, all the members of First Blackmon Baptist Church, and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family would also like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Jerry Woolum and his staff for the care provided for our mother.
