HUBERT ALDON DEAN

Aldon Dean of Harrogate, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the age of 75.  He was a pillar of strength and guidance for his family, and he will be greatly missed.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and trustworthy, loyal friend to many.

Aldon was born on February 14, 1949 to Hubert and Nadean Dean in Pineville, Kentucky.  After graduating from Lone Jack in 1967 he went on to study at Union College.  He accepted a job at Straight Creek Mining Company in 1970, kickstarting a 21 year career in the mining industry.  In 1971 he married the love of his life, Connie Childers, of Middlesboro, Kentucky.  During their 53 years of marriage Aldon and Connie had two daughters, Beth Ann and Rebecca.  Together the couple went on to establish a trucking company where Aldon spent an additional 20 years working in the trucking industry.

Aldon was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Nadean Dean, brother Danny Bruce Dean, and sister Kletha Jane Dean.

He is survived by his wife Connie Dean, daughters Beth Ann Robbins (Reggie Robbins), and Rebecca “Becky” Dean, grandchildren Makaela Hamilton, Dalton Miracle, and Makinley Miracle, sister Judy Dean, close family friend John Slusher, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends at Green Hills Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m.

Family and friends will leave from Green Hills Funeral Home in procession at 2:00p.m.

Following Aldon’s wishes, a simple graveside service will be held at the Harrogate Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee at 2:15p.m. with Rev Audie Miracle presiding.
