JACK C HILL

Jack C. Hill, age 77, of Ewing, Virginia passed away March 27, 2025 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee to the late Clyde and Molly Smith Hill on December 15, 1947.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious wife, Barbara Hill, and brothers Ronnie Hill and General Smith.

Jack was a generous, caring gentleman who went out of his way to lend a hand and help anyone in need.  He had a passion for farming and raising cattle; if it was connected to farming, he was all in…no task was too menial or trivial; all aspects of the farm were important to Jack.  Jack was a longtime member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory, his children Douglas Hill, Alan Hill, Linda Moyers (Adam), and Debbie Hill, brothers Donnie Hill (Mary), and Junior Hill (Doris), sister Janet Daniels (Charles), grandchildren Christopher Hill (Brooklyn), Tiffany Moyers, and Lilly Grace Hill, greatgrandchildren Noah Hill and Blakelee Hill, special friends Bob Yates and Bill Montgomery, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family of Jack C. Hill will receive friends Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Family and friends will leave in procession from Green Hills Funeral home at 3:00 p.m. to the Southern Cemetery in Gibson Station, Virginia for graveside services with Rev. Kris England presiding.  Music will be provided by Ronnie Burch.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Hill, Alan Hill, Adam Moyers, Christopher Hill, Steve Warf, and Kris England.
