Jackie Ann Lay Nash, age 79, a resident of Middlesboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2026 at home while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 23, 1946 in Middlesboro, the daughter of the late Ray Lay and Flora Marlow Reed.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jackie loved her family unconditionally. She especially adored her grandchildren and showered them with a grandmother’s love.
Jackie was a faithful servant not only to her household, but to the Lord. A true Proverbs 31 woman, she loved, feared and served the Lord whole-heartedly. She was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church where she enjoyed praising and worshipping.
A servant’s heart overflowing with love to her Savior and family, Jackie’s devotion, unwavering faith and unfaltering love will be felt and remembered. “But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Arthur Nash, brother David Reed, sisters Betty West and Kathleen Middleton, and niece Tonya.
Left to cherish her memory, sons Mitchell Nash and wife Tammy, Joe Nash and wife Beverly, grandchildren Nicholas Nash and wife Tonya, Brookyln Nash and Bryan Miracle, Brady Nash, Kara Nash, great-grandchildren Cooper Nash, Isaac Nash, Isaiah Nash, Gracie Nash, Colson Nash and Carter Nash, sisters Nancy Schooler, Clementine Nash and Tina, step-grandchildren Misty Peters, Danielle Peters-Parks and son Dylan Parks, Austen and Sarah Peters and son Easton Peters, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, all who will miss her so dearly.
