JAMES DANNY HAMMOND

James "Danny" Hammond, age 68, a resident of Cumberland Gap, TN, passed September 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

James was born January 3, 1957 to James Hammond and Darlene Bryant Nutt who both survive.  James is preceded in death by his brother Robert Hammond.  James was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He loved to work, James' passion was truck driving. He also enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Hammond, step-sons- Dustin Adkins and Brandon Barnett, grandchildren Gemma Davenport, Kratos Barnett, Leela Godbold and Braxton Adkins, brothers-in-law Billy Joe Davis, Steve Davis and Rex Davis and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the JDH Cemetery at 278 Arthur Rd, Cumberland Gap, TN. Full Military Honors will be presented by Vets Serving Vets.
