James C. (J.C.) Robbins, age 78 of Middlesboro, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY, surrounded by his loving family. J.C. was born on October 31, 1946, in Pineville, KY to the late John Thomas and Geneva (Bolden) Robbins.
J.C. was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY. He loved the Lord and enjoyed worshipping and praising Him. He was ordained as a deacon at West Cumberland Ave. Baptist Church where he served for many years. He worked for 28 years at Cumberland Ford Motors as Parts Manager and also at Sears for several years. He loved spending time watching westerns, collecting coins, watching college football and playing a hand of bridge with his family.
Left to cherish his memory here are his wife of 56 years, Betty (Ely) Robbins; son Chad Robbins (Melissa); daughter Jill Neeley (Tracy); his one only beloved grandchild Sophie Neeley; siblings John (Brenda) Robbins, Mitchel Robbins, Linda Harris, Kathy (James) Stonic, Phyllis Mason, and Margaret Harris.
The family of J.C. Robbins will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 at Trinity Baptist Church, 705 S. Petersborough Ave, Middlesboro, KY.
A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tracy Neeley, Rev. Danny Robbins, and Rev. Keith Medley presiding. Music will be provided by Alva Cunningham and Bill Bothof.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Terry Harris, John Bingham, Matt Miracle, and Thomas Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends Leo Lane, Conley Bingham, Steve Hurst, and Harold Farmer.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful medical care given to J.C. over the years by Dr. Neil Barry III and staff, and Dr. Konjeti at UK Healthcare.
