JAMES TRIBELL

James Stephen Tribell, age 61, of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee passed away at his home on February 26, 2025.

He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 26, 1963 to the late Daniel Jackson Tribell and Ruby Faye Thompson Tribell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jeremy Scott Tribell.

James was a U. S. Navy veteran and was proud of his military record and service to his country. He was a devoted Kentucky fan and loved to cheer on the UK Wildcats. James was a true outdoorsman and found great contentment in the serenity of the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee. Like many mountain men, James knew how to spin a yarn and a tall tale; he loved to regale others with his many stories, some true and some greatly embellished. He knew how to keep his audience on the edge of their seats. He was a jokester, prankster, and storyteller who got a kick out of making people laugh. But it was his softer, sweeter side that would allow you a look inside of the real man who would simply melt your heart with his kindness and good heartedness. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.

He leaves behind his sisters Cindy Tribell and Angela Tribell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, too countless to name, who will miss him dearly.

The family of James Tribell will receive friends from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
