JANICE IDOL

Janice Kay Idol, age 69, of New Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away on July 20, 2024 at her home after a brief battle with illness.

She was born May 24, 1955 to the late Arlin and Lonese Lakins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gary Vanover, and son Chucky Idol.

Janice loved to sew, especially making curtains and quilts. She also enjoyed cooking and could fix up an excellent meal. She was a wonderful woman with a big heart – filled up with love for all.

Left to cherish her memory, adopted son Fabian “Rooster” Moore and with Angie, stepchildren Leonard Gary Vanover Jr. and wife Scarlett, Gary Lee Mason, Nicole Vanover McGlamery and husband Mark, Michelle Burchfield, and Sarah Moore, grandchildren Lindsey Vanover, Taylor Reed, Nathan Reed, Jordan Vanover, Halynn Vanover, Kylee Vanover, Landyn Vanover, Ace Vanover, Rocky Vanover, and Greyson Combs, her beloved fur babies Sadie Mae, Girl Girl, Pockets, and Shaggy, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at Mountainview Cemetery, Harrogate, Tennessee.
