Jerrel Jack Rhymer, age 77, of Cumberland, Kentucky, formerly of Schulenburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Whitesburg A.R.H.
He was born in Blair, Kentucky on July 19, 1944 to the late Milburn and Nannie Rhymer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion of 39 years, Violet Haba, sisters Geneva Zachary, Wanda Eldridge, and Mildred Jean Rhymer.
Jack loved fishing, being around people and getting to spend time with his family and friends.
Left to mourn his passing, sisters Kathy Ellis, Christine Overton, Mary Sue Calton and husband Kenny, Wilma Golden and husband Leonard, and Cora Mchargue, brother Rufus Rhymer and wife Mary Ann, as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Special thank you to his niece Susan Howard who helped caretake for him and never left his side.
The family of Jerrel Jack Rhymer will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Tugglesville Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Tugglesville Baptist Church with Rev. David Hoskins presiding.
Graveside Services will immediately follow at the Alva Memorial Gardens, Blackstar, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
