JERRY PRATT Obituary

Jerry Lynn Pratt, 77, a lifelong resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away July 17, 2026 at his home.

He was born on April 5, 1949, and was the son of Fuson Pratt and Patty Chadwell Pratt, who precede him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his cherished friends, Troy Welch, Walt Overbay, Carolyn Fannon, and Phillip Standifer.

He lived a life marked by love for his mother, son and grandchildren, and kindness to those around him.  Jerry was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose legacy will continue through the lives he touched.  Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, his love for his mother, son, grandchildren and his kindness toward all. You always knew where you stood with Jerry.  He found joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the ocean and the Carolinas. He enjoyed talking politics, he loved sports cars, music, and coaching little league baseball with one of his closest friends and rival Walt Overbay. His favorite thing to do was to watch his grandson Jaxson play football. He treasured every moment spent with his family.

He is survived by his son, Josh Pratt (Kristie Crockett-Pratt), his grandchildren, Jaxson, Maddox and Karisyn Pratt, special friends, Bill Hayes, Mike Marcum, Lucas Carter, and Chris Taylor, along with many other family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory. Though he will be deeply missed, his love, wisdom, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

All services will be private.
