JIMMY GORDON

Jimmy Wayne Gordon, age 66, passed away October 23, 2024, at the Middlesboro Health Care Facility.

He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 27, 1957, to the late Hugh and Evelyn Evans Gordon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Roger Gordon, and his aunt, Effie Green.

Jimmy had a strong work ethic; he loved working with his hands and loved to build things. When he wasn’t working, he liked to pass his time watching westerns on tv. He had a great passion for his family and was a very loving father and brother. He was an avid UK fan, especially the men’s basketball team, and loved cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats. It really didn’t matter what the season was because he enjoyed all sports.

Left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, his son, Christopher Gordon, daughter Ashley Deaton (Jonas Marsee), his brother, David (Janice) Gordon, sisters, Katherine (George) Rogers, and Wilma (Charlie) Potter, grandchild Jordan Deaton, sister-in-law Sue Morgan, and other relatives and dear friends who will miss him dearly.

The family of Jimmy Gordon will receive friends Friday, October 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, 4:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Irvin Gipson presiding.

Graveside services will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
