JOHN T CAMPBELL

John T Campbell Jr. “Worm”, age 65 of Harrogate, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday April 2nd, 2025 at the Claiborne County Medical Center while surrounded by his loved ones.

Johnny was born on July 7th, 1959, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to the late JT and Shirley Campbell. He was saved at an early age and was a lifelong member and deacon at Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and a friend and would do anything to be a help to someone in need. Johnny had a passion for trucking and did that for his entire life. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents Ancil and Rita Campbell, Sewell and Ruth Blakemore, Uncle Wayne Blakemore, Father-in-law Will Mabe, and Nephew Travis Jordon.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife and the love of his life of 42 years Debi, his only child Courtney, who was the light of his world, his beloved Great Dane Daphne who he loved like a child, Aunts Barbara (Stewart) Fultz, Donna Blakemore, Mother-in-law Ruby Mabe, as well as a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name, but all who will miss him dearly. 

The family of Johnny Campbell will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2024 at the Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Stewart Fultz and Rev. Robby Bryant presiding. Music will be provided by the Indian Creek Youth Group.

Entombment will immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Steven Moyers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Alan Hill, Eric Toney, Rusty Russell, Johnny Keck, Jake Taylor, Rick Atkins, Greg Pendleton, Cody Watkins, Marcus Jordon and Gary Clonce. 

Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Helton, and the deacons of Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
