JUDY YEARY

Judy Evans Yeary, age 81, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

She was born on November 8, 1944 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late James and Margaret Parker Evans.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Denise Ellis, brother Neil “Bubby” Evans, brother-in-law  and sisters-in-law Keith Yeary, Debbie Asher, Brenda Gross and Aunt Louise Wilmoth.

Judy was saved at an early age and was a longtime member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church.  She started working at the National Bank of Middlesboro at just 18 years old as a teller.  She went on to become head teller at Commercial Bank and later on Community Trust Bank, where Judy received best teller of the year, multiple times, for being so efficient at performing her duties and staying in balance.  Judy won this award so many times that it was often referred to as the Judy Ellis Yeary award.  Judy was a devoted daughter, sister and mother.  She loved to pick on her husband Larry, oftentimes making alliances with Mike Marcum, so they could team up on Larry.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Larry Yeary, half-sister Dianne Gilbert, son Trevor Yeary and wife Cheryl, grandsons Jack and Luke Yeary, sisters-in-law Sharon Miracle, Shelia Silcox, Patricia Whitaker and Carol Evans and a host of relatives and special friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III officiating.

Interment will follow in the Middlesboro Cemetery with pallbearers serving Jack Yeary, Luke Yeary, Mike Marcum, Thom Howard, Tim Miracle and Seth Middleton.
