KATHY GAIL ASHER

Kathy Gail Asher, age 54, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away August 26, 2024 at her home.

She was born July 13, 1970 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Odia Hatfield.

Kathy liked to have fun, whether it was playing Bingo or simply riding around with no particular destination in mind.  She enjoyed life and loved to spend time with her grandkids. She had a great love for Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Her son, Jordon, says it best; she was a loving, caring woman who loved everyone no matter who they were.  She lived her life to the fullest.  She was the best mother and friend that my sisters and I could ever ask for; Kathy Asher was a blessing in so many people’s lives.  She was the star of the room.  Go and rest now mama, your work here is done and we will all be the best we can be; please don’t worry yourself, I’ll look after my sisters.  You just go be with daddy and be at peace.  I love you.  Please be at peace and do not worry about us, I’ll take over from here.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Asher, brothers Willie Hensley, David Hensley, Johnny Hensley, Stevie Hensley, Charlie Hensley, sisters Peggy Messer, Mary Mullins, Diane Hensley, Barbara Belcher.

Left to cherish her memory, her son Jordan Asher (Ashley), daughters Ashley Nichole Emert (David), Jessica Michelle Price (Jonathan), brothers Arnold Hensley, Tony Darrel Hatfield, Jimmy Hatfield,  Rodney Hatfield, sister Roberta Hensley Leger, grandchildren William Asher, Machaela Asher, Aubree Asher, Kaylee Asher, Jakob Asher, Ronan Asher, Samuel Emert, Kyler Clay, Jamar Tayvon Price, Samantha Price, special friends Ricky Mullins, April Tapp, Alisha Mullins, other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home with Mr. David Emert presiding.

Interment will follow in the Jensen Cemetery in Straight Creek, Kentucky.
