KATHY BROOKS

Kathy Lynn Phillips Brooks, age 60, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away peacefully Saturday, August 31, 2024 at her home.

She was born July 8, 1964 in Lawrenceville, Georgia to the late George Melvin and Eloise Pucket Phillips.

In addition to her parents Kathy was preceded in death be one son Charles Greg Higgins and her Sister Kelley York.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 34 years Rufus Junior Brooks, Son Michael Higgins and wife Glessie, Grandchildren Justin Higgins, Paul Higgins, Alex Higgins, Sabrina Higgins, Kirsten Hicks, Bill Hicks, Jerri McPeek, Ciara Higgins and Freedom Higgins, Siblings Sharon McAllister, Andrew Phillips, Keith Phillips, Tonya Post, Sister-in-law Tina Miracle and Husband Mike, Brother-in-laws Glenn Brooks Sr. and Steven Brooks, Nephews Glenn Brooks Jr. and wife Monica,  Colton Miracle and wife Katy, Dalton Miracle and wife Rebekah, Colby Miracle and wife Amaiya, Great-Nieces Macy Miracle, Keaon Miracle and Sophia Miracle and a host of special friends and other relatives who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024 in the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Nelson Bingham officiating.

Interment services will be private.
