Kay Polly, age 72, of Middlesboro, Kentucky went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2024 with her beloved family at her side.
She was born November 24, 1951 in Hulen, Kentucky to the late Charles C. and Pauline Weddle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her precious daughter Rebecca Polly Brock and her brother Paul Weddle.
Mrs. Polly taught school for 28 years and retired from the Bell County School System. She was loved by her students and respected by faculty; leaving behind a legacy for all to aspire to. She was a wonderful, godly wife, mother, and grandmother. Kay’s best times were spent with her children and grandchildren. She had great love for her family and especially her husband. She was an amazing cook and took pride in the meals she prepared. More than anything, she was a child of God, saved at a young age and faithful in every aspect of her life; she had a ready testimony to live and share; always having a forgiving heart. She loved and greeted everyone she met, greeting everyone with her beautiful smile.
Left to cherish her memory, Charles Polly, her loving husband of 50 years, daughters Amy Mayes and husband, Duke, Shelley Bartholomew and husband, Russ, sisters Madonna Millett and Kathy Lefevers, grandchildren Luke Bartholomew, Mia Bartholomew, Trey Mayes, Kaitlin Brock, Olivia Brock, great-grandchild Hendrix Brock, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family of Kay Polly will receive friends at Green Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Astor Simpson officiating.
