LAURA ELLISON

Laura Lee Kiser Ellison, age 45, of Tazewell, TN, passed away on June 20, 2021 at her “happy place”, the beach, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 9, 1975 in Monroe, MI to the late Kenneth Lee Kiser and Mary Butler who survives.

Laura had a smile that could light up a room and the sweetest disposition. She loved the Lord and she loved her family unconditionally. Laura had a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science. She was a teacher for many years in the Hancock County School System. Laura absolutely loved teaching and loved all her children at school. She was also a member of Big Spring Union Baptist Church. Laura’s light and love will shine on forever in our hearts and all that were blessed to have known her will remember her sweet spirit.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter Rebecca Ellison Veillon, brothers William V. Kiser and Kasey Kiser, and grandparents William and Eula Kiser and James and Ruby Gibson.

Left to cherish her memory, loving and devoted husband Jerry Ellison, daughter Rilee S. Ellison, step-daughter Jessica Painter and husband Mike, brothers Chad W. Kiser and Kenneth D. Kiser, sisters Jamie Ellis and Karen Kiser, grandchildren Brett and Morgan Kinsler, Ethan, Haylee, Gracie, Braden, Gage and Sheree Ellison, great-grandchildren Mason, Myha, Mazikeen and Malia Ellison.

As well as a host of many other relatives, co-workers and friends too numerous to name who will miss her dearly.

The family of Laura Ellison will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leo Surber and Rev. Scotty Surber presiding. Music will be provided by the Red Hill Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at Burchett Cemetery, Harrogate, TN.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Ellison, Gage Ellison, Braden Ellison, James Satkowski, Jake Graves, and Mike Painter.
