LeRoy Brooks, age 83, was born on November 19, 1942 and passed away on March 24, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra LeAnn, parents Roy Brooks and Nokomis Brooks, and son-in-law Jason Ayers.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary Maggaline, daughter Carol Ayers, daughter Mary (Jeremiah) Day, grandsons Eli and Brayden Day, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was saved when he was at a young age. He faithfully served as a deacon for Brooks Memorial Missionary Baptist Church for nearly 49 years, never missing a service until his illness prevented his attendance in the last few weeks. His love for his family was only surpassed by his love for our Lord and Savior.
LeRoy loved the church and the service of the Lord. His whole heart was centered on seeing the lost saved and those that had strayed coming back to the church.
He was a farmer his entire life. From combining wheat, to raising tobacco, baling hay, to managing a herd of cattle, there was always something to do and a project that needed to be done.
