LINDA DAY

Mary Linda Day, age 73, of Middlesboro, passed away peacefully at her home on September 2, 2024 with her family at her side. 

She was born April 29, 1951 in Bell County to the late Jeff and Polly Miracle Pittman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ules Day, infant son Kevin Ray Dunn, brothers Bobby Pittman, Joe Pittman, Gail Pittman, Saul Pittman, David Pittman and Carter Pittman, sisters Lindy Jane Rutherford, Sarah Pittman, Ida Barnett, Gracie Greene and Clara Roark.

Linda was a wonderful and loving Mother and Grandmother. She expressed her love to 
others through her cooking. Whether you were family, friend or even a stranger, Linda made sure you left her house fed. She enjoyed caretaking for others, and seeing that others needs were always met, and she especially loved children. Linda was a woman of short stature, but a large heart, a heart that loved fiercely and unapologetically. Her care and compassion flowed freely for others, and that love will live on through her children, grandchildren, family and friends. 

Left to cherish her memory, son Billy Dunn of Middlesboro, Ky., daughter Andrea Weddle and husband Eric of Nancy, Ky., grandchildren Joshua Dunn, Tristan Weddle and Willow Weddle all of Nancy, Ky., sister Dolly Leon and husband Manuel of Lancaster, Ca., as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to name but all who will miss her dearly. 

The family of Linda Day will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Green 
Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Bannister officiating. 

Interment to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
