LINDA FISCHER

Linda Kay England Fischer, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Jonesville, Virginia on June 12, 2024 with her loving family at her side.

She was born May 29, 1951 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Fred England and Dorothy Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Virginia “Ginny” Evans and husband Edward, Norma Jean Powers and husband Billy, and sister-in-law Jean England.

Linda was a caring woman who showered others with her compassion. Whether she was taking care of someone or feeding them, you could see the evidence of her love shine through her labors. She especially loved children and her beloved family. When she wasn’t spending time with her loved ones, Linda focused her hands toward working in her yard. She loved to garden, and she truly enjoyed reading a good book by her koi pond. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Jonesville, Virginia. All who were blessed to know Linda and be a recipient of that love will miss her so dearly.

Left to cherish her memory, loving husband of 53 years Paul Fischer, children Dawn Thomas and husband James, Jason Fischer and wife Joanna, Savanna Parsons and husband Dustin, grandchildren Bronwen Fischer, Andrew Thomas, Barak Fischer, and Parker Thomas, Brianna Thorndyke, siblings Cecil England and wife Barti, Donald England and wife Clara, Harold England, Sue Duncan and husband Mick, Joyce Medley, Dewey England and wife Judy, Charlotte Emery and husband Otis, special friend Nina Moore, sister-in-law Frances Chlebisch and husband Eric, as well as a large host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Linda Fischer will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold England and Rev. Fred Cagle presiding.

Interment to immediately follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky.
