Linda Schooler, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in May of 1954, Linda was a bright light to everyone who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of unmatched kindness, unconditional love, and boundless generosity.
Linda was a woman who found great joy in the simple beauties of life. She had a passion for gardening and loved spending her time doing outside work, tending to the world around her with the same care she gave to the people in her life. Although Linda never had biological children of her own, her maternal heart knew no bounds. She opened her arms and her home to take care of many children throughout her lifetime, pouring her love into the next generations. She was truly the most generous and caring person, always putting others before herself.
She was welcomed into eternity by her beloved husband, Charles Schooler; her mother, Jelee Smith; her father, Junior Smith; her niece, Monica McFall Gage; and her great-great-niece, Story Spencer.
Linda’s memory will be forever cherished by her surviving family, including her siblings: Kirby Smith (Kathy), Joyce Redmond, and Janice Bailey.
She is also survived by her devoted nieces and nephews: Pattie McDonald (and family), Kim Rollins (and family), Jennifer McEndree (and family), Tonya Jarrell, Steve Smith (and family), Micheal McFall (Wendy McFall, and ex-wife Missy McFall), Darren Miller, and Cody Redmond.
Her legacy of love continues through her great-nieces and great-nephews: Taylor Jarrell, Karissa Hendrickson (Adam), Janica Posey (Jake Wilder), Sara Baker (Jake Brock), Tyler Mullins (Taylor), Chestin Mullins, Lochlan Ellis, and her special great-nieces, Angelee Mcfall and Loren Gage (Dakota Spencer).
She was the proud great-great-aunt to: Ava Henderickson, Makinley Holland, Kayzeah Brock, Mayci Brock, Miley Mullins, Maven Mullins, Nathaniel Howard, Kyler Wilder, and Tristan Wilder.
Linda leaves behind a very special great-great-nephew whom she held dear, Kingston Spencer.
As well as her beloved best friend of 46 years, Arvedene Wagner, beloved friend Danny Ellison; and a host of other extended family members and friends whom she held so incredibly close to her heart. Her light, warmth, and unmatched kindness will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
