Mark Andrew Hatfield, age 59, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away on June 6, 2026 at Middlesboro A.R.H. with his loving family at his side.
A true outdoorsman, Mark came from a long line of Hatfield fisherman, so naturally, fishing was in his blood. Whether he was casting and reeling while waiting on a bite or tugging in that next “big catch” - simply being on the water brought him peace and joy. An angler at heart, Mark could tell the tales of the best fish he ever caught, or the “big one that got away”.
Mark was a beloved Father, Brother, Friend and soon-to-be Grandad. He adored nothing more than his two daughters, and couldn’t wait to finally meet his granddaughter, Maisie. Mark not only cared for his family greatly, but likewise casted his love to others as well – always willing and ready to lend a hand to those in need. He had a kind, sweet spirit that never wavered and remained constant, even in sickness.
Mark’s love for rods and reels, his adoration for his family, and the kindness that he showed to all will be fondly remembered by those who loved him. Mark is gone fishing to a better place where the fish always bite and the big one never gets away. Until we meet again.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hatfield and “Dad” Andrew Miracle.
Left to cherish his memory, daughters Ashley Hatfield and Tia Gilbert, granddaughter on the way, Maisie, mother Edna Miracle, brother Andy Miracle, sisters Debbie Stephens and husband Earnest, Teresa Saylor and husband Kenny, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Graveside Services for Mark Hatfield will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9,2026 at the Yellow Hill Cemetery, Middlesboro, Kentucky with Rev. Paul Gibson presiding.
Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Hatfield Family.
