MARTHA "MARTY" WILSON

Martha Louise “Marty” Wilson, age 69 of Colmar, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on May 16, 2024 with her loving sisters by her side. She was born on March 1, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Laura Jean (Wilder) Howard.

Marty was a member of Old Cannon Creek Missionary Baptist Church and spent her life caring for others. Although she was not blessed with her own children, she was a mother figure to her siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. She and her late husband, Clark, helped bring the Word of God to others through The Heaven’s Saints Motorcycle Ministry. Marty volunteered through many organizations, her latest being CCM (Cooperative Christian Ministry) in Middlesboro. Her love for helping others found her taking food and other needed items to the streets of Middlesboro. Marty and Clark spent several Thanksgiving Days at food kitchens, making sure others would enjoy a wonderful meal, before thinking of themselves. Her creative side found her making crafts, getting into projects from something she’d seen on the internet and was especially known for her crocheting. She blessed so many lives and all those she touched will cherish her love and friendship forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Wilson and brother, Johnny Howard. She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Claudette Edgington and Vickie Lawson (Jimmie); brother Larry Elder; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of cousins and friends. Her true passion was being a beloved “Memaw” to Kelsey Elder, Cason Elder and Laikyn Elder.

The family of Martha “Marty” Wilson will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Glenn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM) in Marty’s honor is appreciated.
