MARY HENSLEY CULVER

Mary Lou (Hensley) Culver, 62, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 8, 1961, to Lewis (LB) and Annette Hensley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis (LB) Hensley; father-in-law, James Culver; stepfather-in-law, Lloyd Smith; and brother-in-law, Terry Barr.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years and 10 months, James Culver; her son, Robert Culver, and his wife, Angela, of Fayetteville, NC; and her daughter, Rebecca Culver, of Rutherfordton, NC. Mary was a proud and loving Mamaw to her two grandchildren, Taylor and Grayson Culver; her adopted daughter, Brianna Henderson, and her three children, Emmalynn, Graelynn, and Hudson; her mother, Annette Hensley; her sister, Linda (Eric) Robinson; her brother, Dave (Brenda) Hensley; her sister, Jenny (Tom) Clegg; her mother-in-law, Ester Smith; her brothers-in-law, Dean (Julie) Culver and Stephen (Tammy) Culver; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Barr and Patty (Bill) Klauka; she is survived by many loving aunts and uncles, as well as cherished nieces and nephews.

Mary's life was a testament to her deep love for her family and her unwavering commitment to their happiness and well-being. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, who will cherish her memory and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished friends, who were like family to her, sharing countless moments of joy, laughter, and unwavering support throughout her life.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Hoskins officiating.

Graveside services will follow at the Trent Cemetery in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Robert Culver, Grayson Culver, Gary Jacobson, Shawn Wallick, Eric Robinson, Brian Wildey, Brandon Wilder, and Bill Wade Wilder.
