Mattson Jarome Martin, age 41, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away on August 17, 2024 at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell, Tennessee.
He was born on November 29, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas to Jerry Wayne Martin and Debra Ann Shell who survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wilford and Thelma Shell, running buddy Christy Adtkins, aunts Vickie Perkins and Brenda Shell, cousins Ethan Adtkins and Breanna Morgan.
Mattson, an aspiring actor, performed theatre, on Broadway, and even in the movies: he enjoyed to entertain and bring joy to others. He was a loving son, with a kind heart, and he loved everyone that he met. He enjoyed collecting recipes, kept fit by playing soccer, and loved dogs and all animals. All who were entertained by Mattson, his family and friends, will miss his sweet smile and larger than life personality.
Left to cherish his memory, mother Debra Ann Shell, father Jerry Wayne Martin, best friend Alexandra Brown, special relative Tammy Huff, uncle Roger Shell, aunts Gwen Graefe, Faye Daugherty, brothers Timothy James Martin, Jeremy Ryan Martin, sister Heather Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
