MICHAEL RAY SPADE

Micheal Ray Spade age 62, went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 18, 2026.  He was born October 4, 1963 in Middlesboro, Kentucky  to the late Ray and Norma Spade.

He was a lifelong resident of Lee County, Virginia. Mike was a Christian; saved and baptized and a member of old Yellow Creek Baptist Church. A lover of the great outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a self employed business owner all of his adult life.

Mike never met a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Mike loved to laugh and was a fun-loving prankster. His brothers were his lifelong best friends. Mike was respected and loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.

In addition to is his father and mother Ray and Norma Spade, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Hazel Spade, and Caleb and June Mason.

He is survived by his brothers, Glen and wife Sam, Gary,  and Mark and wife Jennifer, nieces and nephews: Anna, Allen, Kelsey, Brooke, Ray and Taylor, former wife Sherry and her children, the late Jamie, Jessica and Ryan, as well as a large host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family of Michael Ray Spade will receive friends Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Zumbrum presiding.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler Cemetery in Ewing, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Greg Spade, Dillion Spade, Jackie Hollandsworth, Morgan Chadwell, Eric Brock and Steeley Barnett. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Violet and Mickey Cox.
