Mykel “Little Mykel” Kaleb Maxwell, age 29, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away November 17, 2025.
He was born on August 22, 1996 in Middlesboro and is the son of Mikel Maxwell and Amy Bates.
Mykel is preceded in death by his grandfather Forrest Maxwell, step-grandfather Eugene Turnbill, and his uncles Grover “GT” Maxwell and Donnie Miracle .
Little Mykel was very caring, loving and was always kind to everyone. He was a hard worker but enjoyed getting away and taking trips with his friends; for him it wasn’t so much the destination but the fun and the memories they were making. He was a man who enjoyed good food and good times with family and friends. In his down time, he could be found playing video and computer games, listening to music, and watching wrestling on tv.
He is survived by his father Mikel Maxwell, mother Amy (Tony Morrison) Bates, grandparents Roy and Charlene Mullins, Teresa Cupp and Dennie Halcomb, Steve Bates and Donna Wood, brothers Dalton Elliott, Alec (Courtney Bailey) Maxwell, Evan Elliott, Cooper Chumley, niece Octavia Elliott, uncles Jesse Bates, Troy Bates, Josh Mullins, aunts Cher (Rodney) Mullins, Brandy (Tommy) Lawson, Amanda Monday, Deandrea Surber, Vonda (Aaron) Earle, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family of Mykel “Little Mykel” Kaleb Maxwell will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Faith Temple.
There will be a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Faith Temple.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Green Hills Funeral Home to help with final expenses or that a donation be made in Mykel’s memory to the charity of your choice.
